The Responsibility tab of the Senior Managers Register shows all Senior Manager Functions and Prescribed Responsibilities that are appropriate for the firm type selected. Here you can assign the relevant Functions and Prescribed Responsibilities to your Senior Managers or add any Overall or Other responsibility to the register.
You will need access to the Management Console and SMCR registers. On the registers tab click on a Senior Manager Register to access the responsibilities tab*
To be able to assign an existing responsibility you will first need to make sure you have added your Senior Managers. Check out this article on how to add SMs.
Click on a responsibility and a pop up will appear. In the Senior Manager(s) field start typing the name of the SM you would like to assign the responsibility to. You can select the person from the autocomplete results and then search for further users if there is more than one SM with that responsibility.
Once a senior manager has been selected an Effective Date for [name of SM] field will appear select todays day to open the date picker to change the Effective Date for...
If you select more than one SM you will need to add an effective date for each SM.
When you are happy click Add responsibility mapping.
You can also add any Overall or Others Responsibilities by using the Add Responsibility form at the bottom of the page. Choose Responsibility Type from dropdown, the ID will be the name or title of your responsibility, while the description can be populated with further information about the responsibility. All fields will need to be completed in order to be able to add the responsibility, then click Add responsibility and save your choices. Your responsibility will appear with the existing ones in the table above. You can now assign a Senior Manager to the Overall or Other responsibility.
You can also Update or Delete the Overall or Other responsibility.
