Learning Paths are containers for one or more activities (including SCORM/AICC content developed outside Skillcast) that can be assigned to users directly and/or via Audience groups and have a deadline date attached.
To add an document to a learning path follow the below steps.
- Click on Management Console at the top of your homepage and Click on Content Management from the right-hand-side menu called ‘Management Console’.
- You can then use the search form to search for an existing learning path using a keyword or you choose a domain and hit search to find all learning paths in that domain. Click on the learning path code you are looking for a OR Add a new Learning Path
- Click on 'edit content' under add a new activity select 'Document'.
You will be presented with options to add a document:
Position - If this is the first and only activity you wish to include in your learning path this will default to 1. If you chose to have multiple activities within a learning path you can use this field to choose the position.
Pre-requisite- If you choose to have multiple activities within a learning path you can use this field to choose whether user needs to complete all other previous completed or a specific activity before they can complete the e-learning you are adding.
Required - Choose to set the activity as a required or optional. Setting to required will mean the activity needs to be completed before the learning path will mark as complete.
Name - Add a title for the document
Description - Add a description for the document
Content category - You can leave this as uncategorised, or add to an existing category. Adding to a category makes it easier to find or add to other learning paths in the future.
Estimated process time - The expected time to complete the e-learning
Show Certificate- Set to Yes to award a certificate to the user upon completion.
Document - Choose the document file to upload*.
Click the Add button to complete.
