Building or editing a module is not just about knowing how to operate our CMS Editor.
It’s about imagining the structure and working on layouts that hold the contents well. It’s about Action Points – deciding what Actions you want your users to take in their workplace after they have done the training.
Modifying an off the shelf module (where those considerations have been made already) is a lot easier than building a course from scratch. A blank “new course” canvas is difficult to approach, compared to something pre-existing that you can improve/customise/fully change to your needs and liking.
A note regarding this Editor in general: It’s a complex tool that has evolved over two decades as our inhouse production tool. It was not made to be a consumer-friendly application, so if you find something difficult to use within it, please keep this in mind.
It’s important to consider this, in order to keep things in perspective.
