When a user opens a Skillcast remote SCORM module that is hosted on a client LMS a message is sent to the Skillcast servers that contains the users Student ID and Student Name.
Your LMS decides what value to provide for student ID. You will need to check with your LMS whether this is configurable as most LMS’s provide the users email address as standard.
This information is stored in the Skillcast system along with the course title and the date/time they accessed it. The customer can view this if they want to know the people who have accessed the content. No other information (such as status, score etc) is transferred to Skillcast and stored.
You can also decide to anonymise the user data when hosting the library content on a 3rd party LMS to maintain user privacy.
If you would like the ‘anonymise data’ setting enabled, please contact your Customer Support Manager.
